Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fausto Mendonça started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute, Gláuber Tande hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Scarlet Speedster's Naldo Proença played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Krisztián Véber in the 4th minute of play. After 5 played minutes Scarlet Speedster got a freekick which was hit by Dom Lugano. Esen Sanal was a little too slow when Fausto Mendonça got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 7th minute. The score was now 1-0. After a rather tough play, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Daniel Owsiak got a free kick in the 9th minute. Esen Sanal made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Fausto Mendonça sent off a good shot on target. 11 minutes into the match, Scarlet Speedster's goal looked a bit too open when Lei Feng Yan came free, but Naldo Proença reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Fausto Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot. Scarlet Speedster's supporters rose to their feet, but Fausto Mendonça was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Esen Sanal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Naldo Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucio Siekkötter in the 15th minute of play. In the 18th minute Renato Augusto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Naldo Proença saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goalkeeper Esen Sanal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fausto Mendonça. Lei Feng Yan took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Naldo Proença. Naldo Proença dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Naldo Proença showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Krisztián Véber in the 23rd minute of the match. Esen Sanal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fausto Mendonça in the 24th minute. Naldo Proença took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucio Siekkötter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute, Renato Augusto made a precise shot to the right of Naldo Proença. Scarlet Speedster's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Esen Sanal made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Fausto Mendonça sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of S.E.R. Caxias do Sul booed when Scarlet Speedster was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. 龚棋岩 didn't get a good kick on the ball. Scarlet Speedster's attentive Edward Krzynowek managed to snatch the ball when Daniel Owsiak made a throw-in in the 39th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Mendonça in the 40th minute of play forced S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goalkeeper Esen Sanal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fausto Mendonça who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 41stth minute tested the skills of Esen Sanal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Fausto Mendonça might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Esen Sanal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fausto Mendonça ran back to his position shaking his head. S.E.R. When Fausto Mendonça came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Scarlet Speedster fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Mendonça couldn't finish the play. After the first half S.E.R. Caxias do Sul were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Renato Augusto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Fausto Mendonça came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Scarlet Speedster fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fausto Mendonça couldn't finish the play. 53 minutes into the match, S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Mendonça came free, but Esen Sanal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fausto Mendonça charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fausto Mendonça the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fausto Mendonça kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Naldo Proença made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Renato Augusto in the 59th minute of play. In the 66th minute Fausto Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esen Sanal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Naldo Proença showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Krisztián Véber, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as S.E.R. Caxias do Sul's Lei Feng Yan slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Naldo Proença. That made the score 1-3 after 76 minutes of play. Naldo Proença made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Lei Feng Yan sent off a good shot on target. Lucio Siekkötter made in the 85th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Scarlet Speedster's Edward Krzynowek. Esen Sanal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raigo Vananurm, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Esen Sanal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ekialde Nadal in the 91st minute of play. Scarlet Speedster's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edward Krzynowek in the 93rd minute. After taking down the ball on Scarlet Speedster's corner Váldson Bittencourt fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Esen Sanal quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Krisztián Véber in the 95th minute of play forced Scarlet Speedster's goalkeeper Naldo Proença to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. S.E.R. Caxias do Sul played a much better game than Scarlet Speedster and deserved their victory. The Scarlet Speedster players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
