He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Castanheiro SC reached it. In the 14th minute Robben Spoelberchs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Paulo Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wincent Dropinski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovanni Baptista in the 18th minute of play. Família Ressaca MZ's João Paulo Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robben Spoelberchs in the 20th minute of play. João Paulo Silva came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Castanheiro SC's Alfredo Stefano. But to his dismay, Alfredo Stefano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Wincent Dropinski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronaldinho do Vale, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 29th minute Natalio Centenales shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wincent Dropinski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 32 minutes, Wincent Dropinski successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 37th minute, Vasco Arruabarrena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by 陶渊伟 in the 40th minute of play forced Família Ressaca MZ's goalkeeper João Paulo Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The supporters of Família Ressaca MZ booed when Castanheiro SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodolfo Sergipano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wincent Dropinski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovanni Baptista in the 89th minute of the match. Castanheiro SC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
