The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 12 minutes into the match, THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Dagoberto Dracena came free, but Magne Allbom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 14 played minutes THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Bittencourt. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dagoberto Dracena in the 15th minute of play forced THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ's goalkeeper Magne Allbom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tiaguinho Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Bittencourt in the 17th minute of play. Falcão de Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Magne Allbom tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Falcão de Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd minute, Dagoberto Dracena ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Magne Allbom was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The supporters of THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ booed when Trindade Atlético Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vintilă Ungur didn't get a good kick on the ball. Trindade Atlético Club's Tiaguinho Correia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aníbal Brasil in the 45th minute of play. In the 47th minute Felipe Bittencourt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiaguinho Correia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aníbal Brasil stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 86 minutes, Vintilă Ungur managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trindade Atlético Club's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vintilă Ungur was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dragoş Vâtcu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute, Vintilă Ungur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Magne Allbom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Róbson Couto, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Trindade Atlético Club fans cheered their team off the field, for while THE FLALIRA FAMILY MZ had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
