Haji Sarap made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sten Andrejević in the 16th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Joinville City - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Sten Andrejević came free, but Haji Sarap reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joinville City - FSCMZ's Drew Zaelani managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Bruno Félix in the 20 minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Geovanildo Luis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Luiz Corrêa. That made the score 1-0 in the 25 minute of play. Haji Sarap showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sten Andrejević in the 31st minute of the match. Sten Andrejević took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Haji Sarap. Haji Sarap dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 36 minutes into the match, Joinville City - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Sten Andrejević came free, but Haji Sarap reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Geovanildo Luis received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luiz Corrêa came out and tried to block the shot, but Geovanildo Luis slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 38th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Adalberto Xavier in the 45th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Joinville City - FSCMZ's Drew Zaelani. The throw-in from Drew Zaelani in the 47th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by ROSÁRIO SPORT's Adalberto Xavier. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sten Andrejević stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Adalberto Xavier threw the ball into play from the sideline. Joinville City - FSCMZ's Ronaldinho Gaucho quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After having played for 64 minutes, Sten Andrejević managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ROSÁRIO SPORT's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sten Andrejević was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. ROSÁRIO SPORT's Luiz Corrêa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horácio Abraão in the 94th minute of play. Joinville City - FSCMZ's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
