Los Golosos were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after Los Espinillos FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Meng Shi Peng took the corner. Los Golosos's Maximo Orain was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marcus Silva in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, Los Espinillos FC's German Aguilera got a free kick in the 13th minute. Nicolas Estevez took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcus Silva. Marcus Silva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jimeno Gumaro in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aurelio Valeriani prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Los Golosos's Aurelio Valeriani proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Los Golosos from getting a goal against them. In the 21st minute, Orlando Eleder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leendert Looze scored 0-2 in the 24th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcus Silva, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Poli Albizua came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Los Espinillos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Poli Albizua couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leendert Looze in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcus Silva saved Los Espinillos FC from getting behind. Meng Shi Peng made a great header on Los Golosos's corner, it was just that Los Espinillos FC's Marcus Silva managed to reach the ball for a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Doğan Pekin in the 34th minute of play forced Los Espinillos FC's goalkeeper Marcus Silva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Los Golosos getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Leendert Looze hit a great ball. In the 38th minute Leendert Looze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute, Nicolas Estevez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Los Golosos's Aurelio Valeriani got control of the ball when Poli Albizua tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 46 played minutes Los Golosos got a freekick which was hit by Herbert Ziombkowski. The audience was convinced that Jimeno Gumaro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aurelio Valeriani was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. The Los Espinillos FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Los Golosos were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jimeno Gumaro made a kick off. In the 50th minute, Zula Munko hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leendert Looze's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 54thth minute, Marcus Silva skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Marcus Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Estevez in the 64th minute of play. Los Golosos's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Meng Shi Peng in the 66th minute. Meng Shi Peng made a great header on Los Golosos's corner, it was just that Los Espinillos FC's Marcus Silva managed to reach the ball for a save. Nicolas Estevez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 72nd minute of the match Claudio Barrionuevo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aurelio Valeriani skillfully saved the ball. Aurelio Valeriani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Mateus, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 77th minute German Aguilera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aurelio Valeriani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcus Silva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leendert Looze in the 80th minute. Aurelio Valeriani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimeno Gumaro in the 84th minute of play. The supporters of Los Golosos booed when Los Espinillos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Orlondon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 91 played minutes, Los Golosos's Meng Shi Peng shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marcus Silva came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Los Golosos reached it. The Los Golosos supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Los Golosos would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
