FC SOLOTHURN's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Aurelio Valeriani stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anfilogino Sasso's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Nicolas Estevez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Josué Macedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aurelio Valeriani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacob Madruga in the 25th minute of the match. Josué Macedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aquilino Arnau, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC SOLOTHURN's zone, Leendert Looze stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Josué Macedo came out of the goal and Leendert Looze tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 44th minute Nicolas Estevez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josué Macedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Josué Macedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximo Orain in the 48th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nicolas Estevez to make the kick off. Josué Macedo was a little too slow when Maximo Orain got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Estevez in the 64th minute of play forced FC SOLOTHURN's goalkeeper Josué Macedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to FC SOLOTHURN getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Fausto Massa hit a great ball. Corrado Berardi charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Nicolas Estevez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Josué Macedo having to make a save. Aurelio Valeriani showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anfilogino Sasso in the 72nd minute of the match. Josué Macedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aquilino Arnau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, FC SOLOTHURN's Josué Macedo got control of the ball when Aquilino Arnau tried to sneak it across the goal line.
