AFC FUSION's supporters rose to their feet, but Germano Bettencourt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Belchior Saldanha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fulgencio Gartzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. AFC FUSION's Roberto Eztebe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fulgencio Gartzi in the 31st minute of play. The supporters of La Gallardeta booed when AFC FUSION was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dawid Beckham didn't get a good kick on the ball. AFC FUSION's Lino Rios got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 43 played minutes La Gallardeta got a freekick which was hit by Jan-Olof Eliasson. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fulgencio Gartzi was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, La Gallardeta's Jan-Olof Eliasson got a free kick in the 52nd minute. When Jan-Olof Eliasson came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the La Gallardeta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jan-Olof Eliasson couldn't finish the play. After having played for 62 minutes, Jan-Olof Eliasson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Gallardeta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jan-Olof Eliasson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Rios in the 64th minute of play forced La Gallardeta's goalkeeper Belchior Saldanha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. La Gallardeta's Belchior Saldanha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lino Rios in the 71st minute of play. AFC FUSION's Roberto Eztebe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save AFC FUSION from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice moves Jan-Olof Eliasson could shoot a difficult shot in the 74th minute, which Roberto Eztebe however easily saved by the left post. 77 minutes into the match, AFC FUSION's goalkeeper Roberto Eztebe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enzo Nuñez. The supporters of AFC FUSION booed when La Gallardeta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bragan McPhil didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lino Rios sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Germano Bettencourt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Belchior Saldanha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lino Rios in the 92nd minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The AFC FUSION fans cheered their team off the field, for while La Gallardeta had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
