After 46 played minutes Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Saul Felo. David Antunes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Alfredo Joey made a huge save. The αѕαɗо γ ςαвεʀηετ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Palermo were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell George Lucas to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Palermo's goal looked a bit too open when Esteve Lando came free, but Alfredo Joey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But to his dismay, Moritz Riedel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. After a rather tough play, Palermo's Arnoldo Medina got a free kick in the 67th minute.
