Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilfredo Cordara in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nestor Quirino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 15 minutes into the match, Chivos's goal looked a bit too open when Erasmo dos Santos came free, but Jesus Atarratze reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jesus Atarratze showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kobe Haaland, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Wilfredo Cordara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nestor Quirino having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Cordara in the 26th minute of play forced América-SC F.C.'s goalkeeper Nestor Quirino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nestor Quirino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilfredo Cordara in the 28th minute of play. 29 minutes had been played when some careless play by América-SC F.C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Aras Görkem Zümer was slow to take the kick. During this time Chivos's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Chivos's Aras Görkem Zümer to fire away a dangerous shot which Nestor Quirino despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Chivos's Jesus Atarratze proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Chivos from getting a goal against them. Wilfredo Cordara took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nestor Quirino. Nestor Quirino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. 38 minutes into the match, Chivos's Wilfredo Cordara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nestor Quirino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 43 minutes into the match, Chivos's goalkeeper Jesus Atarratze had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gabi Gol. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The supporters of América-SC F.C. booed when Chivos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alonzo Oto didn't get a good kick on the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Chivos's Wilfredo Cordara sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nestor Quirino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 63 minutes into the match, Wilfredo Cordara had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nestor Quirino. América-SC F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wilfredo Cordara was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Chivos made a substitution. Romulo Pere replaced Aras Görkem Zümer. Nestor Quirino came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Chivos's Wilfredo Cordara. But to his dismay, Wilfredo Cordara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Chivos made a substitution. Batuhan Modrić replaced Wilfredo Cordara. Nestor Quirino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Batuhan Modrić, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. An unexpected shot in the 76th minute by Romulo Pere got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 81 played minutes Chivos got a freekick which was hit by Alonzo Oto. A collision led to Chivos getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Godo Munk hit a great ball. Gabi Gol took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 83rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jesus Atarratze. Chivos's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Batuhan Modrić hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Chivos's Jacobo Deunoro got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Batuhan Modrić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The América-SC F.C. supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Chivos's performance. The match ended with a win for Chivos.
