Gabi Gol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josué Macedo having to interfere. Corrado Berardi hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After 66 played minutes FC SOLOTHURN got a freekick which was hit by Henning Dahlbom. In the 66th minute of the match Gabi Gol sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Josué Macedo skillfully saved the ball. The audience was convinced that Gabi Gol's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Josué Macedo was relentless in the 81st minute of the game.
