FC SOLOTHURN's Josué Macedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save FC SOLOTHURN from getting a goal against them. In the 10th minute, Stommeer A's Dave Ostermann dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 14th minute Gheorghe Hagi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramon Simons saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stommeer A's Damien Roetering got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dave Ostermann succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 22nd playminute. Dave Ostermann who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Josué Macedo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 31 minutes into the game, Dave Ostermann cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Josué Macedo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Stommeer A booed when FC SOLOTHURN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Panait Stolniciu didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC SOLOTHURN's Josué Macedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martijn Jol in the 37th minute of play. With a little luck, FC SOLOTHURN's Josué Macedo got control of the ball when Dave Ostermann tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 39 minutes, Dave Ostermann managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stommeer A's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dave Ostermann was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dave Ostermann was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dave Ostermann in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Josué Macedo saved FC SOLOTHURN from getting behind. In the 53rd minute Dave Ostermann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josué Macedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martijn Jol took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Josué Macedo. Josué Macedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Josué Macedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dave Ostermann, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Josué Macedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damien Roetering in the 62nd minute of play. In the 63rd minute of the match Stommeer A got a corner. FC SOLOTHURN's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tom Hedvall ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Tom Hedvall got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Josué Macedo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Josué Macedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dave Ostermann's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. After 67 minutes of play, Stommeer A's Dave Ostermann made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Josué Macedo was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Damien Roetering in the 71st minute of play forced FC SOLOTHURN's goalkeeper Josué Macedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC SOLOTHURN's goalkeeper Josué Macedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 75 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC SOLOTHURN's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tom Hedvall was slow to take the kick. During this time Stommeer A's players had a chance to rest. In the 77th minute, Dave Ostermann got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 79 minutes into the game, Eduardo Camavinga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stommeer A's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC SOLOTHURN the free kick. Eduardo Camavinga kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Josué Macedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinier Ieberink in the 87th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Dave Ostermann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stommeer A's supporters rose to their feet, but Dave Ostermann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Josué Macedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC SOLOTHURN players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Stommeer A.
