Manole Tăcutu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mădălin Arjoca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manole Tăcutu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mădălin Arjoca, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Valer Nuțu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flávio Ţugui in the 11th minute of the match. A collision led to -BZF- Valea Buzăului getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Iulian Strungă hit a great ball. Flávio Ţugui hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Manole Tăcutu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Petre Benga's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Manole Tăcutu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petre Benga, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. A collision led to -BZF- Valea Buzăului getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Iulian Strungă hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Petre Benga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Manole Tăcutu was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. In the 28th minute, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Albert Guriță seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Albert Guriță the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Albert Guriță had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After a rather tough play, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Albert Guriță got a free kick in the 28th minute. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Valer Nuțu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Ana Ţugui's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valer Nuțu was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. The -BZF- Valea Buzăului fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Ana Ţugui looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Valer Nuțu was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and Ana Ţugui capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ana Ţugui really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Nicodim Voiculescu struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Manole Tăcutu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-. Valer Nuțu was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Ana Ţugui capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ana Ţugui really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maxim Strugure to make the kick off. Sabin Cândroveanu made in the 52nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Mădălin Brăiloiu. Maxim Strugure was extremely unlucky when he, in the 53rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Valer Nuțu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flávio Ţugui in the 55th minute of play. Valer Nuțu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ana Ţugui went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Valer Nuțu came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Flávio Ţugui. But to his dismay, Flávio Ţugui quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Flávio Ţugui in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valer Nuțu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 74th match minute, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Iurașcu to maneuver through the defense. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Valer Nuțu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flávio Ţugui in the 75th minute of play. Valer Nuțu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flávio Ţugui, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Manole Tăcutu was a little too slow when Maxim Strugure got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 5-1. After having played for 91 minutes, Mădălin Arjoca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Mădălin Arjoca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for -BZF- Valea Buzăului.
