The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the game, Baltazar Oporto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Deportivo Águila's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ORION F.C. the free kick. The supporters of ORION F.C. booed when Club Deportivo Águila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baltazar Oporto didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 7 minutes of play, ORION F.C.'s Andrés Mendieta made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gustavo Guimarães was left in no man's land by his defense there! Andrés Mendieta hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Pedro Villalaz didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 2-0 via right post in the game's 12th minute. ORION F.C.'s supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Gustavo Guimarães was out of position in the 18 minute of play, and Pedro Villalaz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pedro Villalaz really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. In the 22nd minute, Pedro Villalaz made a precise shot to the right of Gustavo Guimarães. Club Deportivo Águila's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. After a defensive mix-up in ORION F.C.'s zone, Herminio Florinio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dadhyan Rudrappa came out of the goal and Herminio Florinio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Club Deportivo Águila's Ramon Gomez got a free kick in the 28th minute. Club Deportivo Águila's Gustavo Guimarães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Villalaz in the 54th minute of play. If Ricky Koppens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dadhyan Rudrappa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Gallegos, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. The supporters of ORION F.C. booed when Club Deportivo Águila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baltazar Oporto didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 66th minute, Pedro Villalaz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ORION F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. ORION F.C.'s Dadhyan Rudrappa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricky Koppens in the 71st minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Pedro Villalaz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gustavo Guimarães was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-1. Gustavo Guimarães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Villalaz in the 75th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Gallegos in the 82nd minute of play forced ORION F.C.'s goalkeeper Dadhyan Rudrappa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dadhyan Rudrappa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricky Koppens in the 85th minute of play. Miguel Gallegos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dadhyan Rudrappa having to interfere. ORION F.C.'s Agustin Torrijos was substituted for Enrique Gutierrez. Dadhyan Rudrappa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ricky Koppens's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. In the 92nd minute, Ricky Koppens reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dadhyan Rudrappa. The goal made the score 7-2. When Luis Quirós fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ORION F.C.'s protests and gave Luis Quirós a yellow card for diving instead.
