Kauan Machado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Corrêa in the 7th minute of the match. Gino Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alan Aguiar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the match, Bezerros EC's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastião Neto came free, but Gino Brito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Gremio NG's Rodrigo Cordeiro seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Rodrigo Cordeiro the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Gremio NG protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Rodrigo Cordeiro had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 27 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gremio NG! After 32nd play minutes Gustavo Corrêa shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Kauan Machado and just under the crossbar into goal. After some careless play in the Gremio NG defense, Jorginho Gerber kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kauan Machado. The Gremio NG fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kauan Machado should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Gremio NG booed when Bezerros EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luisinho Massa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

After 50 played minutes Gremio NG got a freekick which was hit by Alan Baiano. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gremio NG's goalkeeper Kauan Machado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dedé Loyola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dráuzio Tasso lost his temper 59 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bezerros EC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 58th minute. Penalty! In the 61st minute there was a penalty for Gremio NG. Vítor Martins stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gino Brito. 1-4. Gremio NG's Kauan Machado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Gremio NG from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Gremio NG getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. João Augusto das Neves hit a great ball. The long shot by Dedé Loyola in the 68th minute really tested Kauan Machado's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Gino Brito showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan Aguiar in the 73rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Gremio NG's Alan Aguiar got a free kick in the 77th minute. Bezerros EC's Gino Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Luz in the 79th minute of play. In the 87th minute Jorginho Gerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kauan Machado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Geovânio Camargo took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Kauan Machado to make any attempt to save it. Gustavo Corrêa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Kauan Machado made a huge save. The supporters of Gremio NG booed when Bezerros EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Percy de Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bezerros EC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
