Acácio Figueiredo started the match with the kick off. Leandro Cardozo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Acácio Figueiredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 6 minutes, Hudson Esteves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Que se abra o mar and the Atlético Capixaba players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Que se abra o mar getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Hudson Esteves hit a great ball. Leandro Cardozo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamim de Castro in the 8th minute of the match. In the 10th match minute, Que se abra o mar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gino Amaral to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute Ronaldo Serra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrick Teles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leandro Cardozo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Acácio Figueiredo in the 14th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Atlético Capixaba's Fernandinho Barreto got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 32nd minute Benjamim de Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Cardozo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Que se abra o mar's Leandro Cardozo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Acácio Figueiredo in the 37th minute of play. 43 minutes into the match, Mete Gol notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Que se abra o mar's Leandro Cardozo. Leandro Cardozo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 47th minute, Acácio Figueiredo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Que se abra o mar players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Atlético Capixaba were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ronaldo Serra to make the kick off. Leandro Cardozo came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Atlético Capixaba's Acácio Figueiredo. But to his dismay, Acácio Figueiredo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Patrick Teles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinei Silveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Que se abra o mar's goal looked a bit too open when Mete Gol came free, but Leandro Cardozo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wellington Rezende during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 77th match minute, Atlético Capixaba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredinho Andrade to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute, Jonathan Nunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 85th minute, Mete Gol made a precise shot to the right of Leandro Cardozo. Que se abra o mar's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. With a little luck, Que se abra o mar's Leandro Cardozo got control of the ball when Acácio Figueiredo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Atlético Capixaba played a much better game than Que se abra o mar and deserved their victory. The Que se abra o mar players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
