Fábio Pinheiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vinícius Servaes went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After 9 minutes of play, Gremio NG's Dino do Vale made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rogério Ceni was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Vinícius Servaes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute Diamante Negro DK - VV were awarded a corner. Christian Antonelli went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Bonifaco Elenes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Gremio NG's Fábio Pinheiro did a great save. Fábio Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vinícius Servaes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinícius Servaes in the 19th minute of play forced Gremio NG's goalkeeper Fábio Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fábio Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vinícius Servaes, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After some careless play in the Gremio NG defense, Vinícius Servaes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fábio Pinheiro. The Gremio NG fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fábio Pinheiro should have stopped the shot. When Diamante Negro DK - VV's Vinícius Servaes in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gremio NG's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Vinícius Servaes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fábio Pinheiro was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Vinícius Servaes put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Fábio Pinheiro. Vinícius Servaes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fábio Pinheiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Vinícius Servaes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Diamante Negro DK - VV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Christian Figueiredo charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christian Figueiredo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 42nd minute, Christian Figueiredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Antonelli in the 43rd minute of play forced Gremio NG's goalkeeper Fábio Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Júnior Quintana to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute Vinícius Servaes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fábio Pinheiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 55 minutes, Vinícius Servaes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Diamante Negro DK - VV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vinícius Servaes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Diamante Negro DK - VV's Cipriano Tróia was substituted for Frederico Pontes. Renatinho Oliveira hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Vinícius Servaes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 64 minutes into the match, Gremio NG's goal looked a bit too open when Vinícius Servaes came free, but Fábio Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vinícius Servaes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vinícius Servaes might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fábio Pinheiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vinícius Servaes ran back to his position shaking his head. Gremio NG's Fábio Pinheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vinícius Servaes in the 74th minute of play. Fábio Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vinícius Servaes, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 75th minute, Vinícius Servaes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fábio Pinheiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-6. Diamante Negro DK - VV's Hugo Zonta was substituted for Willian Félix. Rogério Ceni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dino do Vale in the 85th minute of play. Vinícius Servaes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fábio Pinheiro having to make a save. In the 95th match minute, Gremio NG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renatinho Oliveira to maneuver through the defense.
