Fotbal Club Vaslui's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marcin Pachucki ran over to the corner to take the kick. A4p FC Gad's Marcin Pachucki was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Andrei Oloieru in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 17th minute Traian Traian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Glenn Fyfe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcin Pachucki's late challenge caught a Fotbal Club Vaslui's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marcin Pachucki helped the player get up and apologised. After 20 played minutes A4p FC Gad got a freekick which was hit by Marcin Pachucki. Andrei Oloieru made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when James Batistuta sent off a good shot on target. 27 minutes into the match, Fotbal Club Vaslui's goal looked a bit too open when King Scorpio came free, but Andrei Oloieru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 28 minutes into the game, Teodor Huștiu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fotbal Club Vaslui's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A4p FC Gad the free kick. A collision led to Fotbal Club Vaslui getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Teodor Huștiu hit a great ball. Marcin Pachucki took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Andrei Oloieru. Fotbal Club Vaslui's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 31st minute, Dumitru Purcărete ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andrei Oloieru was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Glenn Fyfe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manole Amărculesei, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 41st match minute, Fotbal Club Vaslui was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodor Huștiu to maneuver through the defense. 43 minutes into the game, Traian Traian cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Glenn Fyfe was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Traian Traian came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Fotbal Club Vaslui fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Traian Traian couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Traian Traian to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 95th minute, King Scorpio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andrei Oloieru was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-3.
