Tiaguinho Faria took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Allan Varela. Palestra do Interior's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulo Godoi got free with Nicolas Cardozo in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nicolas Cardozo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Adalberto Vianna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 37 minutes into the match, Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Godoi came free, but Nicolas Cardozo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Paulo Godoi in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nicolas Cardozo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 40 minutes into the game, Paulo Godoi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nicolas Cardozo. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adriano Secco during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo Godoi in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nicolas Cardozo saved Rondinone F.C - FDFDF from getting behind. Hermínio Maciel hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Palestra do Interior made a substitution. Hudson Sergipano replaced Niclas Danielsson. Palestra do Interior's Reynaldo Sena was substituted for Vitório Lago. In the 66th match minute, Rondinone F.C - FDFDF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermínio Maciel to maneuver through the defense. After 77 played minutes Palestra do Interior got a freekick which was hit by Celsinho Vidal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Percival Cruz in the 84th minute of play forced Rondinone F.C - FDFDF's goalkeeper Nicolas Cardozo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eliézer Leão's late challenge caught a Palestra do Interior's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
