Roldan Castellanos was slow to take the kick. During this time Taltum FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Taltum FC's Roldan Castellanos to fire away a dangerous shot which Fernando Selatse despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Fernando Selatse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Obregón Pardemanos in the 19th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Marcelo Cavenaghi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Taltum FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcelo Cavenaghi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Taltum FC reached it. Zhang Hao Qing made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Emiliano Velasco sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Zhang Hao Qing managed to avoid a goal in the 44thth minute, when Despidida AFC's Emiliano Velasco fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Fernando Selatse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Cavenaghi, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Obregón Pardemanos made a kick off. When Obregón Pardemanos came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Taltum FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Obregón Pardemanos couldn't finish the play. Despidida AFC's Toro Martínez was substituted for Emiliano Velasco. Despidida AFC's Ancho Branca was substituted for Dinu Ivănescu. Despidida AFC made a substitution. Kajetan Gdowik replaced Pastor Tino. Toro Martínez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kees Harmsen hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Roldan Castellanos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 70th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fernando Selatse. Despidida AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 74th minute, Despidida AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Norbert Dabrowski fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Despidida AFC's Fernando Selatse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Obregón Pardemanos in the 76th minute of play. In the 89th minute Obregón Pardemanos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernando Selatse saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zhang Hao Qing came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Despidida AFC's Toro Martínez. But to his dismay, Toro Martínez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Despidida AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Taltum FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
