The coaching staff of River Ctes protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Faustino Chucho had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Faustino Chucho hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilberto Severo in the 16th minute of play forced River Ctes's goalkeeper Pascual Berdaitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dráusio Sanches charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dráusio Sanches the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 21 played minutes Grêmio Bulls got a freekick which was hit by Dráusio Sanches. Cláudio Moraes hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After 26 minutes, Gilberto Severo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grêmio Bulls and the River Ctes players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gilberto Severo kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Cláudio Moraes might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pascual Berdaitz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cláudio Moraes ran back to his position shaking his head. Cláudio Moraes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pascual Berdaitz having to interfere. In the 35th minute of the match Dráusio Sanches sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pascual Berdaitz skillfully saved the ball. Pedro Quirino's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pascual Berdaitz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cláudio Moraes in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pascual Berdaitz saved River Ctes from getting behind. After 45 played minutes Grêmio Bulls got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Quirino. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Evelio Tabb struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Marcel Jacinto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for River Ctes. After 62 played minutes Grêmio Bulls got a freekick which was hit by Gilberto Severo. In the 67th minute Cláudio Moraes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pascual Berdaitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 68 played minutes Grêmio Bulls got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Quirino. In the 79th minute, Robustiano Rico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cláudio Moraes struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Pascual Berdaitz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grêmio Bulls. In the 88th match minute, Grêmio Bulls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dráusio Sanches to maneuver through the defense. If Robustiano Rico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grêmio Bulls played a much better game than River Ctes and deserved their victory. The River Ctes players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
