After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Marco Hetz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Joga Bonito 1893's Gottfried Hollstein played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Driel in the 30th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Peter Driel in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gottfried Hollstein saved Joga Bonito 1893 from getting behind. A collision led to ajax getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Jan Akkerman hit a great ball. Alvar Korte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Ronald Velthuis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frederik Riester kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marco Hetz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Joga Bonito 1893 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Hetz to maneuver through the defense. Gottfried Hollstein made an important save on a dangerous shot by Peter Driel in the 53rd minute. With a little luck, Joga Bonito 1893's Gottfried Hollstein got control of the ball when Karsten van Ankeren tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 57 minutes, Alvar Korte managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 69th minute, Peter Driel made a precise shot to the right of Gottfried Hollstein. Joga Bonito 1893's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Peter Driel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gottfried Hollstein having to interfere. The supporters of Joga Bonito 1893 booed when ajax was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan-Joost Telkamp didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gottfried Hollstein made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Peter Driel sent off a good shot on target. Ronald Velthuis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Hetz, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute.
