The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ivan Chiuzbaian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Denimir Tzonkov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The throw-in from Bernardo Di Piazza in the 5th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by VN BAKITO's Blagoy Banovski. A sloppy throw-in by Sevdalin Evtimov in the 6th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Dacian Tilea. After a rather tough play, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Dacian Tilea got a free kick in the 6th minute. Ivan Chiuzbaian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denimir Tzonkov in the 7th minute of the match. VN BAKITO's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Blagoy Banovski in the 9th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zhao Sen Yang in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ruslan Rúklyov saved VN BAKITO from getting behind. In the 16th minute, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Zhao Sen Yang dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 25th minute, Denimir Tzonkov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The VN BAKITO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. VN BAKITO's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Blagoy Banovski in the 32nd minute. 34 minutes into the match, VN BAKITO's goalkeeper Ruslan Rúklyov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zhao Sen Yang. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zhao Sen Yang in the 35th minute of play forced VN BAKITO's goalkeeper Ruslan Rúklyov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denimir Tzonkov in the 39th minute of play forced Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s goalkeeper Ivan Chiuzbaian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 40 minutes Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Blagoy Banovski who took care of the corner kick. The throw-in from Mei Zhi Jun in the 42nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Dacian Tilea. In the 44th minute, Olov Ahlbeck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. VN BAKITO's Blagoy Banovski got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zhao Sen Yang made a kick off. After 53 minutes, Denimir Tzonkov mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the VN BAKITO and the Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, VN BAKITO's Denimir Tzonkov got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Ruslan Rúklyov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zhao Sen Yang's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. İlhami Akyazıcı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruslan Rúklyov having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by İlhami Akyazıcı in the 66th minute of play forced VN BAKITO's goalkeeper Ruslan Rúklyov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 70 minutes, Zhao Sen Yang managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Zhao Sen Yang was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM-'s Emil Wielopolski was substituted for Grigore Maghiran. After some careless play in the VN BAKITO defense, Zhao Sen Yang kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ruslan Rúklyov. The VN BAKITO fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ruslan Rúklyov should have stopped the shot. Ruslan Rúklyov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zhao Sen Yang in the 80th minute of play. In the 89th minute Zhao Sen Yang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruslan Rúklyov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th match minute, Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olov Ahlbeck to maneuver through the defense. In the 97th minute Denimir Tzonkov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Chiuzbaian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Phoenix Baia-Mare -MM- had won after a very even match.
