An unexpectedly hard shot by Loris Groß in the 13th minute of play forced LOI's goalkeeper George Buturugã to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute, Rouven Bernhauer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 16 played minutes LOI got a freekick which was hit by Cabbar Dinçay. Özgür Özbay's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marc Fontagnier read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. The LOI fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that George Buturugã should have stopped the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sulo Montaña made a kick off. Mehmet Akif Cerme hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. George Buturugã made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loris Groß in the 54th minute of play. Marc Fontagnier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sulo Montaña's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. 97 minutes into the match, LOI's goalkeeper George Buturugã had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Loris Groß. When the referee ended the match the LOI players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
