After 9 minutes Consejo del Mate's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dawid Beckham who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Germano Bettencourt got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Hugo Orlando Gatti quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. A collision led to Consejo del Mate getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Santo Lorenz hit a great ball. Hugo Orlando Gatti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lino Rios in the 11th minute of the match. After 15 minutes Consejo del Mate's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Dawid Beckham who took care of the corner kick. AFC FUSION's Dawid Beckham was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hugo Orlando Gatti in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Consejo del Mate's Hugo Orlando Gatti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lino Rios in the 17th minute of play. With a little luck, AFC FUSION's Roberto Eztebe got control of the ball when Vicente Santana tried to sneak it across the goal line. The attack was good, but when Vicente Santana in the 19th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. With his leg Roberto Eztebe managed to avoid a goal in the 21stth minute, when Consejo del Mate's Bolo Bolaño fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lino Rios in the 22nd minute of play forced Consejo del Mate's goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lino Rios took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hugo Orlando Gatti. Hugo Orlando Gatti dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 29 minutes into the match, AFC FUSION's Lino Rios sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hugo Orlando Gatti narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hugo Orlando Gatti stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lino Rios's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. AFC FUSION's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dawid Beckham in the 33rd minute. AFC FUSION's Dawid Beckham was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hugo Orlando Gatti in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After the first half AFC FUSION were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Consejo del Mate made a substitution. Peyo Fonelleda replaced Vicente Santana. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bolo Bolaño to make the kick off. When Consejo del Mate's Bolo Bolaño in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Consejo del Mate's goalkeeper Hugo Orlando Gatti, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 63 minutes into the match, AFC FUSION's goal looked a bit too open when Fagildo Pamanes came free, but Roberto Eztebe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hugo Orlando Gatti made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4.
