After 4 played minutes Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ got a freekick which was hit by Baldomero Hermon. Hansjörg Wastl took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toro Martínez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hansjörg Wastl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toro Martínez, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Despidida AFC's Fernando Selatse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrique Borges in the 10th minute of play. Fernando Selatse made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Henrique Borges sent off a good shot on target. Hansjörg Wastl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toro Martínez in the 19th minute of the match. Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's Hansjörg Wastl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Toro Martínez in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Toro Martínez made a precise shot to the right of Hansjörg Wastl. Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 33 minutes into the match, Despidida AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Henrique Borges came free, but Fernando Selatse reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th match minute, Despidida AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toro Martínez to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Despidida AFC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's Edu Carvalho was substituted for Henrique Borges. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edu Carvalho to make the kick off. Fernando Selatse came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's Edu Carvalho. But to his dismay, Edu Carvalho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Fernando Selatse stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edu Carvalho's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's Emiel Desmet was substituted for Baldomero Hermon. Despidida AFC's Dinu Ivănescu was substituted for Ancho Branca. After 64 minutes Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Emanuel Lucila who took care of the corner kick. Fernando Selatse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edu Carvalho in the 68th minute of the match. Treze Futebol Clube CIMZ's Hansjörg Wastl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dinu Ivănescu in the 69th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Emanuel Lucila managed to get in a good position for a shot. Despidida AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Emanuel Lucila was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hansjörg Wastl breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fernando Selatse showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edu Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. If Emiel Desmet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Despidida AFC's Fernando Selatse played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edu Carvalho in the 86th minute of play. Hansjörg Wastl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dinu Ivănescu in the 87th minute of the match. Edu Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Fernando Selatse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Through an outstanding action, after 96 minutes, Hansjörg Wastl successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 97 minutes into the game, Dinu Ivănescu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hansjörg Wastl. Dinu Ivănescu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. The Despidida AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Despidida AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
