The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 7 minutes, Dedê Meireles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vasco FC and the FC Kenglo players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Vasco FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Dedê Meireles hit a great ball. 9 minutes into the match, Kennet Västerberg notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Vasco FC's Wellington Barbosa. Wellington Barbosa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Birger Rydelius got free with Wellington Barbosa in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 19 minutes into the match, Birger Rydelius dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Wellington Barbosa, 2-0. After 21 minutes of play, Vasco FC's Tiago Gabriel Mesquita made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Aaron Bergström was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Gil Motta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vasco FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gil Motta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aaron Bergström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FC Kenglo's Aaron Bergström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Gabriel Mesquita in the 33rd minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Vasco FC's Marquinhos Schmidt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aaron Bergström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. 38 minutes into the match, Vasco FC's Dedê Meireles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aaron Bergström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Vasco FC's Denílson Ramalho got a free kick in the 41st minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gil Motta was the one to do the kick off. Thor Alin charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thor Alin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Vasco FC booed when FC Kenglo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thor Alin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Vasco FC's goalkeeper Wellington Barbosa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wellington Barbosa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Birger Rydelius's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Jonas Veloso hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Aaron Bergström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tiago Gabriel Mesquita in the 71st minute. Dan Petersson's late challenge caught a Vasco FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dan Petersson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 79th match minute, FC Kenglo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dan Petersson to maneuver through the defense. FC Kenglo's Aaron Bergström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marquinhos Schmidt in the 80th minute of play. 83 minutes into the game, Jonas Veloso recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Aaron Bergström. Jonas Veloso showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. With his leg Aaron Bergström managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when Vasco FC's Dedê Meireles fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mats Gregersson in the 90th minute of play forced Vasco FC's goalkeeper Wellington Barbosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Vasco FC booed when FC Kenglo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mats Gregersson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC Kenglo's zone, Marquinhos Schmidt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aaron Bergström came out of the goal and Marquinhos Schmidt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vasco FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
