Saruhan Yürüker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Uğur Sayhan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. istanbul's Saruhan Yürüker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nafiz Tuz in the 14th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, istanbul's goal looked a bit too open when Uğur Sayhan came free, but Saruhan Yürüker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of istanbul booed when istanbul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yağızalp Sidar didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saadettin Akar in the 54th minute of play forced istanbul's goalkeeper Saruhan Yürüker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Erhun Dölek's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Saruhan Yürüker was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Saadettin Akar charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 76th minute, Nafiz Tuz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The istanbul fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. A collision led to istanbul getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Erman Barkın hit a great ball. 92 minutes in the game, Uğur Sayhan fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Saruhan Yürüker having to interfere. After 93 played minutes istanbul got a freekick which was hit by Saadettin Akar. istanbul's Saadettin Akar got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The istanbul fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. istanbul were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
