The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Nofre Marques was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alcover's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ♦Squat★Goals♦ the free kick. Vincent Pandilla took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcial Amorebieta. Alcover's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Vincent Pandilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 7 minutes into the game, Gustavo Pedriza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alcover's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ♦Squat★Goals♦ the free kick. ♦Squat★Goals♦ made a substitution. Mark Viñaspre replaced Marin Prabes. Gustavo Pedriza kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Marcial Amorebieta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joey Espantoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 12 played minutes ♦Squat★Goals♦ got a freekick which was hit by Lucian Alzola. Agapito Quintero hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. 15 minutes into the match, Vincent Pandilla had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcial Amorebieta. Alcover's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vincent Pandilla was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Ladislao Durango kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Pancho Dean made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iban Sancho in the 23rd minute of play. Quinto Gurendes kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Alcover's Alberto Folch couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 29th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for ♦Squat★Goals♦. If Vincent Pandilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, Nofre Marques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joey Espantoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Marcial Amorebieta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vincent Pandilla was the one to do the kick off. ♦Squat★Goals♦ were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Alcover's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vincent Pandilla took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Lucian Alzola got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marcial Amorebieta quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Iban Sancho during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 55th match minute, Alcover was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iban Sancho to maneuver through the defense. In the 61stth minute of the game Vincent Pandilla who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Alcover's Marcial Amorebieta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Galtero Lillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcial Amorebieta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. Marcial Amorebieta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vincent Pandilla in the 71st minute. A sloppy throw-in by Alberto Folch in the 75th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by ♦Squat★Goals♦'s Lucian Alzola. In the 76th minute, Joey Espantoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Galtero Lillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Marcial Amorebieta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcial Amorebieta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vincent Pandilla in the 85th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, ♦Squat★Goals♦'s Galtero Lillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcial Amorebieta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Reynaldo Valdés put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Pancho Dean. Pancho Dean made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Valdés in the 94th minute of play. The ♦Squat★Goals♦ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ♦Squat★Goals♦ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
