Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Silvestre Cidro got the match started through his kick off. In the 2ndth minute of the game Erasmo Palmeira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MERLINFC's Ciro Txanton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 2 minutes, Erasmo Palmeira made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. MERLINFC's Ciro Txanton tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. MERLINFC's Silvestre Cidro got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dino Pereira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvestre Cidro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dino Pereira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvestre Cidro in the 16th minute of the match. After 26 played minutes FC Aston City got a freekick which was hit by Clóvis Baiano. After 27 played minutes MERLINFC got a freekick which was hit by Ruben Tabb. 31 minutes into the match, FC Aston City's goalkeeper Dino Pereira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ruben Tabb. FC Aston City's Paulão Vaz got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 33 played minutes MERLINFC got a freekick which was hit by Hernan Cordera. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Paulão Vaz managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Aston City's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulão Vaz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ciro Txanton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 36th minute, Erasmo Palmeira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Aston City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After having played for 44 minutes, Erasmo Palmeira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Aston City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erasmo Palmeira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Erasmo Palmeira made a kick off. Paulão Vaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Ciro Txanton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in MERLINFC's zone, Paulão Vaz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciro Txanton came out of the goal and Paulão Vaz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sílvio Pena during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to FC Aston City getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Sílvio Pena hit a great ball. 64 minutes into the game, Ruben Tabb cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Dino Pereira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 68th minute Ruben Tabb shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dino Pereira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Erasmo Palmeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciro Txanton was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Erasmo Palmeira showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 85 minute of play. 88 minutes into the game, MERLINFC's Ruben Tabb nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dino Pereira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. A collision led to MERLINFC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Niceto Figueroa hit a great ball. Sílvio Pena, 95 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. FC Aston City's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
