Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Iban Sancho got the match started through his kick off. Hayden Williams sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 6th minute, Lance Fuller hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reynaldo Valdés sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Marcial Amorebieta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sal Norris, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 17 minutes into the game, Sal Norris was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. American's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Alcover the free kick. In the 18th match minute, American was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sal Norris to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Gustavo Pedriza in the 18th minute really tested Ben Raymond's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Ben Raymond showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iban Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Ben Raymond showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iban Sancho in the 26th minute of the match. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind American's goalkeeper Ben Raymond, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alcover's Jerold Gomar got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Reynaldo Valdés managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alcover's supporters rose to their feet, but Reynaldo Valdés was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ben Raymond breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ben Raymond showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iban Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Giovanni Talley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Marcial Amorebieta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sid Bowser in the 40th minute of play forced Alcover's goalkeeper Marcial Amorebieta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the match, American's goalkeeper Ben Raymond had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ladislao Durango. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iban Sancho in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ben Raymond saved American from getting behind. Ben Raymond made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Reynaldo Valdés sent off a good shot on target. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Giovanni Talley to make the kick off. Reynaldo Valdés took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ben Raymond. Ben Raymond dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 58th minute, Iban Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alcover fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 63 minutes into the match, American's goal looked a bit too open when Iban Sancho came free, but Ben Raymond reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 65th minute, Reynaldo Valdés left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alcover fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Marcial Amorebieta made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Giovanni Talley sent off a good shot on target. Ben Raymond made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Valdés in the 72nd minute of play. Jerold Gomar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Ben Raymond tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Alcover booed when American was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hayden Williams didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Iban Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Alcover fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iban Sancho couldn't finish the play. Alcover's Jerold Gomar got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 79 minutes into the match, Reynaldo Valdés had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ben Raymond. American's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reynaldo Valdés was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Marcial Amorebieta came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by American's Giovanni Talley. But to his dismay, Giovanni Talley quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. If Giovanni Talley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. American's Giovanni Talley got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 90 minutes of play, Alcover's Reynaldo Valdés made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ben Raymond was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ben Raymond showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iban Sancho in the 95th minute of the match. American's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
