When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, 方宽骋 put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ciro Txanton. In the 16th minute, 方宽骋 left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. With a little luck, MERLINFC's Ciro Txanton got control of the ball when 孔勇彬 tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Cristo Sauveur managed to get in a good position for a shot. MERLINFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristo Sauveur was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 顾桦星 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 24th minute Silvestre Cidro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 顾桦星 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, 云南保山屠夫俱乐部队's 马强青 got a free kick in the 24th minute. The audience was convinced that Ruben Tabb's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but 顾桦星 was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. After having played for 26 minutes, 方宽骋 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. 云南保山屠夫俱乐部队's supporters crossed their fingers, but 方宽骋 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 29th minute, 云南保山屠夫俱乐部队's 钱霆潮 seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed 钱霆潮 the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of 云南保山屠夫俱乐部队 protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and 钱霆潮 had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in 云南保山屠夫俱乐部队 fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 28th minute. Penalty! Ciro Txanton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 曲庭笑 in the 34th minute of play. 顾桦星 came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by MERLINFC's Ruben Tabb. But to his dismay, Ruben Tabb quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. 云南保山屠夫俱乐部队's 顾桦星 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lino Abajas in the 43rd minute of play. A collision led to 云南保山屠夫俱乐部队 getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. 谢永瑜 hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell 方宽骋 to make the kick off. 云南保山屠夫俱乐部队 were awarded a corner in the 52th minute after MERLINFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. 孔勇彬 took the corner. In the 53rd minute, 马强青 left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. After 62 played minutes MERLINFC got a freekick which was hit by Lino Abajas. After 63 minutes of play, 云南保山屠夫俱乐部队's 方宽骋 made it 4-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ciro Txanton was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 66th minute, Hernan Cordera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 孔勇彬 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 70 played minutes 云南保山屠夫俱乐部队 got a freekick which was hit by 马强青. If 马强青 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciro Txanton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 方宽骋 in the 76th minute of play. Silvestre Cidro scored 4-5 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of 顾桦星, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 云南保山屠夫俱乐部队's 谢永瑜 got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 顾桦星 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvestre Cidro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 顾桦星 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvestre Cidro in the 95th minute of play. Chants of MERLINFC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as 云南保山屠夫俱乐部队 had held the ball for most of the match.
