The ball went over the crossbar instead. 14 minutes into the match, Xipoko's goal looked a bit too open when Gernando Pernambucano came free, but Alfredo Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xipoko's Alfredo Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gernando Pernambucano in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Gernando Pernambucano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfredo Neves was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 22 minutes into the match, Xipoko's goal looked a bit too open when Gernando Pernambucano came free, but Alfredo Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mané de Brito was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 23 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fábio Cardoso made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Borussia Dortmund MZB's Gernando Pernambucano slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alfredo Neves. The Borussia Dortmund MZB fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. After a rather tough play, Xipoko's Angelo Travassos got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Xipoko's Fábio Cardoso got a good chance for a goal in the 100th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Xipoko fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Borussia Dortmund MZB were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
