Horea Hurmuzache tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Dumitru Opincaru came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the DINAMO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dumitru Opincaru couldn't finish the play. In the 30th minute Basarab Zburliş shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernard Fedosz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chuttur Lønge in the 33rd minute of play forced DINAMO's goalkeeper Horea Hurmuzache to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot by Jochen Gijselinx from long distance, 35 minutes into the match, got Horea Hurmuzache's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Horea Hurmuzache took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chuttur Lønge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Beto Martini MZ 20 years booed when DINAMO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dumitru Opincaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
