In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Gdansk36's goalkeeper Adam Matysek, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rega Merida CF's Konstanty Wawro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cyprian Rekowski in the 15th minute of play. When Nistor Sârban came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Rega Merida CF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nistor Sârban couldn't finish the play. 22 minutes into the match, Rega Merida CF's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Olisadebe came free, but Konstanty Wawro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Willem-Jan Dittman got a throw-in 25 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Jan Olisadebe. 28 minutes into the match, FC Gdansk36's goalkeeper Adam Matysek had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nistor Sârban. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Nistor Sârban in the 61st minute of play forced FC Gdansk36's goalkeeper Adam Matysek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rega Merida CF's Nistor Sârban got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in FC Gdansk36's zone, Constantin Arnăuțescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adam Matysek came out of the goal and Constantin Arnăuțescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rega Merida CF's Karol Swiderski was substituted for Cemal Palabıyık. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Konrad Knopek in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adam Matysek prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rega Merida CF's Wasyl Dziurowicz was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Adam Matysek in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 77 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Gdansk36's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Elpidio Umbruso was slow to take the kick. During this time Rega Merida CF's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Rega Merida CF's Elpidio Umbruso to fire away a dangerous shot which Adam Matysek despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After a rather tough play, FC Gdansk36's Willem-Jan Dittman got a free kick in the 81st minute. FC Gdansk36 made a substitution. Piotr Kozlowski replaced Cyprian Rekowski. In the 82nd match minute, FC Gdansk36 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Willem-Jan Dittman to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute Karol Swiderski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adam Matysek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Rega Merida CF players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
