In the 5th minute, Modlau's Dominic Salazar ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Borys Poreda. Borys Poreda yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Victoria Toruń's Borys Poreda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Victoria Toruń from getting a goal against them. In the 11th minute, Dragolyub Dzhahov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 13 minutes into the match, Ture Springfält had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lew Yashin. Modlau's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ture Springfält was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Claudio Fioravanti who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Borys Poreda when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 18 minutes into the match, Victoria Toruń's D.J. 武磊 sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lew Yashin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Fioravanti in the 19th minute of play forced Victoria Toruń's goalkeeper Borys Poreda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Victoria Toruń's goalkeeper Borys Poreda had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dominic Salazar. D.J. 武磊 took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lew Yashin. Lew Yashin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After 27 played minutes Victoria Toruń got a freekick which was hit by Ture Springfält. Benedykt Kluska kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Claudio Fioravanti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 30th match minute, Modlau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcin Fronczak to maneuver through the defense. Victoria Toruń's Borys Poreda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Victoria Toruń from getting a goal against them. 35 minutes into the match, Modlau's goal looked a bit too open when Dragolyub Dzhahov came free, but Lew Yashin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Borys Poreda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jarmo Laik in the 37th minute. Barry McCray took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Borys Poreda. Victoria Toruń's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dominic Salazar got free with Borys Poreda in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claudio Fioravanti made a kick off. Burt Burachek struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Lew Yashin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Victoria Toruń. Victoria Toruń's D.J. 武磊 got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dominic Salazar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lew Yashin made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Zhu Yan Quan sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Modlau getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Claudio Fioravanti hit a great ball. Modlau made a substitution. Zula Puszynski replaced Marcin Fronczak. Claudio Fioravanti kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Borys Poreda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio Fioravanti in the 86th minute of play. Modlau's Claudio Fioravanti managed to work through Victoria Toruń's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Claudio Fioravanti dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Lew Yashin made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Zhu Yan Quan sent off a good shot on target. In the 92nd minute, Zhu Yan Quan made a precise shot to the right of Lew Yashin. Modlau's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Borys Poreda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Fioravanti, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Victoria Toruń's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
