When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Demetrio Cannata put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Andreas Lips. Montevideo's Andreas Lips played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Demetrio Cannata in the 43rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Montevideo's Leandro Brito got a free kick in the 45th minute. After the first half EoDu Uai Sôccer were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Agostinho Salgado made a kick off. If Demetrio Cannata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. With a little luck, Montevideo's Andreas Lips got control of the ball when Jardel Cabezon tried to sneak it across the goal line. The nice shot from Jardel Cabezon in the 72ndth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Andreas Lips had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post.
