Montevideo's Davi Camargo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Jano Cavalcante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Doni Meirelles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Doni Meirelles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jano Cavalcante, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Manfredo Reis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Andreas Lips. That made the score 1-2 in the 30 minute of play. The supporters of ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽ booed when Montevideo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edvaldo Urbano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Doni Meirelles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agostinho Salgado in the 43rd minute of the match. Hernani Massa's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Andreas Lips firmly grabbed it by the left post. 47 minutes into the match, Agostinho Salgado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Doni Meirelles. ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Agostinho Salgado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Andreas Lips stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabiano Borel's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. After 76 minutes of play, Montevideo's Kléberson Romero made it 1-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Doni Meirelles was left in no man's land by his defense there! Agostinho Salgado made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 79thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Doni Meirelles would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. After 83 played minutes Montevideo got a freekick which was hit by Diogo Vale. Josué Brito was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 87 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute, one of ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽. Agostinho Salgado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 99th minute of the match, but Doni Meirelles made a huge save. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Montevideo walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
