Karim Bado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gernando Pernambucano in the 25th minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 29 minutes into the game, when Tony Trevisan put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 28th minute of the game. One of Rio Verde F.C CIMZ:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Borussia Dortmund MZB:s goal. Karim Bado had in the 30thth minute some difficulties stopping Gernando Pernambucano's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kaká Xavier during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fiori Cerezo's late challenge caught a Borussia Dortmund MZB's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fiori Cerezo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 37th match minute, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fiori Cerezo to maneuver through the defense. Karim Bado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gernando Pernambucano, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Karim Bado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gernando Pernambucano in the 42nd minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lenílson Gomes to strike the kick off in the second half. Karim Bado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guga Capixaba in the 52nd minute of play. After 53 minutes of play, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Thomás do Valle made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Angelo Peruzzi was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by 崔谦俊 during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 59th minute, one of Borussia Dortmund MZB:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Borussia Dortmund MZB. Borussia Dortmund MZB:s Angelo Peruzzi showed great skill when he stopped Lenílson Gomes:s penalty. Ke Chang Lin made in the 66th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Borussia Dortmund MZB's Guga Capixaba. Luís Fabiano Breckenfeld kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Angelo Peruzzi was a little too slow when Lenílson Gomes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 73rd minute. The score was now 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gernando Pernambucano in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Karim Bado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Karim Bado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gernando Pernambucano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute of the match Matheus Savioli sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Karim Bado skillfully saved the ball. Murillo Bittencourt hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Gernando Pernambucano took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Karim Bado. Karim Bado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Rio Verde F.C CIMZ eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
