When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Inácio Barbosa took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Folke Österlund to make any attempt to save it. In the 10th minute Gugu Travassos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folke Österlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Folke Österlund made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jairo Vinhas in the 25th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Granadero10's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Fernando Abraão came free, but Sydney Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Folke Österlund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inácio Barbosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 32nd minute Inácio Barbosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folke Österlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Inácio Barbosa got free in front of the goal in the 32nd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Folke Österlund was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 47th minute, one of Granadero10:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Granadero10.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dudu Borges to make the kick off. Catugi FC's Folke Österlund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gugu Travassos in the 58th minute of play. In the 61st minute Diamantino de Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folke Österlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Catugi FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Hernani Travassos hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inácio Barbosa in the 66th minute of play forced Catugi FC's goalkeeper Folke Österlund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th match minute, Catugi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reginaldo Veiga to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th minute of the match Donato Leão shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Folke Österlund showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Granadero10's Inácio Barbosa got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Donato Leão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Folke Österlund having to interfere. Dudu Borges charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dudu Borges the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Folke Österlund stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diamantino de Barros's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. 77 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Inácio Barbosa came free, but Folke Österlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute, Inácio Barbosa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Folke Österlund was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Granadero10 made a substitution. Sandrinho Leite replaced Gugu Travassos. Folke Österlund didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Inácio Barbosa went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. In the 88th minute Sandrinho Leite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Folke Österlund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 89 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Inácio Barbosa came free, but Folke Österlund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
