La Rat started the match with the kick off. Jacinto Romero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jess Carnduff read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. In the 16th minute of the game Aulis Salomaa made a throw-in which La Rat played forward. A collision led to Champions Iasi getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Jacinto Romero hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the game, Eusebiu Crăciunaș threw the ball into play from the sideline. Alemannia Aachen's Manfred Kottsieper quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Champions Iasi's Broderick Ceney proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Champions Iasi from getting a goal against them. Eusebiu Crăciunaș kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Champions Iasi's Broderick Ceney got control of the ball when La Rat tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Champions Iasi's Alessandro Sarmento got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 44th minute, Eusebiu Crăciunaș hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thomas Müller in the 45th minute of play forced Champions Iasi's goalkeeper Broderick Ceney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 51st minute Thomas Müller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Broderick Ceney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. La Rat scored 2-0 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Broderick Ceney, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 56 minutes into the game, Thomas Müller cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Broderick Ceney was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Broderick Ceney showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from La Rat in the 60th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Thomas Müller put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Broderick Ceney. Broderick Ceney showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from La Rat, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. 77 minutes into the match, Champions Iasi's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Müller came free, but Broderick Ceney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Broderick Ceney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thomas Müller in the 77th minute of play. In the 86th minute, Ryan Giggs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. La Rat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 94 minutes into the game, La Rat cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Broderick Ceney was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alemannia Aachen walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
