Inter Miami CF's Marcos Chuan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guillen Mijangos in the 3rd minute of play. Domingos Sein could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Matro Perramon made a huge save. In the 6th minute of the match, Domingos Sein tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Matro Perramon saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 7 minutes into the game, Celestino Bastian cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Matro Perramon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 9th match minute, Inter Miami CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cleto Txilar to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th match minute, Inter Miami CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeledon Osoro to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute, Domingos Sein reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Matro Perramon. The goal made the score 2-0. 18 minutes into the match, Universitario's goal looked a bit too open when Domingos Sein came free, but Matro Perramon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erasto Tella kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Universitario's goalkeeper Matro Perramon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Celestino Bastian. Restu Pineda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Matro Perramon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zeledon Osoro in the 34th minute. Domingos Sein sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andy Somellera in the 44th minute of play forced Inter Miami CF's goalkeeper Marcos Chuan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th match minute, Inter Miami CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingos Sein to maneuver through the defense. After 47 played minutes Inter Miami CF got a freekick which was hit by Everardo Bizi. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The wind increased when Domingos Sein made the kick off in the second half. Joachim Arana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Marcos Chuan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Andy Somellera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matro Perramon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celestino Bastian, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Karlo Gavilanes was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 63 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 63rd minute of the game. One of Universitario:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Inter Miami CF:s goal. Matro Perramon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celestino Bastian, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. A collision led to Inter Miami CF getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Vladimiro Clemencin hit a great ball. If Guillen Mijangos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Garcia Gorostieta fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Universitario's protests and gave Garcia Gorostieta a yellow card for diving instead. Garcia Gorostieta kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Domingos Sein succeeded in the game's 87th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 6-0. 91 minutes into the game, Inter Miami CF's Lino Arias nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Matro Perramon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. Inter Miami CF walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
