But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Piţurcă couldn't finish the play. Roman Su showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Piţurcă, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Roman Su was a little too slow when Victor Piţurcă got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 18th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 26th match minute, NECKER49 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomas Ramond to maneuver through the defense. Emerald's Ioan Logofătu quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Tomas Ramond, made in the 29th minute of the game. Victor Piţurcă blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roman Su having to make a save. 31 minutes into the match, NECKER49's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Piţurcă came free, but Roman Su reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Emerald's Niculae Negreanu got a free kick in the 34th minute. In the 39th minute, Emilio Ursino made a precise shot to the right of Bogdan Lobonț. Emerald's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 42 minutes into the game, Victor Piţurcă recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Roman Su. Victor Piţurcă showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Through an outstanding action, after 46 minutes, Roman Su successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Piţurcă in the 53rd minute of play forced NECKER49's goalkeeper Roman Su to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Evaristo Abastas got free with Bogdan Lobonț in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Evaristo Abastas took a quick shot and it went in 4-2 without a chance for Bogdan Lobonț to make any attempt to save it.
