Sindre Walle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Matro Perramon made a huge save. Matro Perramon was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rikard Gjødsbøl showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 10 minute of play. Fausto Cueto's late challenge caught a FC Nordsjælland's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fausto Cueto helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Universitario's Fausto Cueto got a free kick in the 13th minute. After 17 minutes of play, FC Nordsjælland's Dimitar Berbatov made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Matro Perramon was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rikard Gjødsbøl kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. The supporters of Universitario booed when FC Nordsjælland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Nygren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Henning Sæmer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andy Somellera in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute, Benjamin Nygren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dimitar Berbatov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Matro Perramon made a huge save. Andy Somellera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henning Sæmer having to interfere. In the 31st minute Benjamin Nygren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matro Perramon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sindre Walle came free with the goalkeeper in the 32nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Matro Perramon could save by the left post. Benjamin Nygren might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Matro Perramon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benjamin Nygren ran back to his position shaking his head. Erasto Tella's late challenge caught a FC Nordsjælland's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erasto Tella helped the player get up and apologised. Sindre Walle came free with the goalkeeper in the 44th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Matro Perramon could save by the left post. 44 minutes into the game, Sindre Walle recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Matro Perramon. Sindre Walle showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 5-0. Henning Sæmer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andy Somellera in the 48th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andy Somellera to make the kick off. Sindre Walle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 56th minute, Joachim Arana ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Henning Sæmer was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. Matro Perramon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dimitar Berbatov in the 62nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Universitario's Joachim Arana slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Henning Sæmer. That made the score 5-2 after 64 minutes of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Sindre Walle managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Nordsjælland's supporters rose to their feet, but Sindre Walle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matro Perramon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Guillen Mijangos charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guillen Mijangos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FC Nordsjælland booed when Universitario was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillen Mijangos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Universitario's Matro Perramon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dimitar Berbatov in the 76th minute of play. Matro Perramon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Nygren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joachim Arana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Henning Sæmer made a huge save. 88 minutes into the game, Benjamin Nygren was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Nordsjælland's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Universitario the free kick. The supporters of Universitario booed when FC Nordsjælland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benjamin Nygren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Matro Perramon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dimitar Berbatov, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FC Nordsjælland fully deserved thier win.
