The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Arthur Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petr Lisich, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Niceto Xacintu took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eduard Berezutskiy. Eduard Berezutskiy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 14 minutes, Sergey Koshelev mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Daguestan and the Flying Dutch players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Daguestan getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Sergey Koshelev hit a great ball. Eduard Berezutskiy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niceto Xacintu in the 18th minute of play. Petr Lisich received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Arthur Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Higinio Raymundo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Daguestan's Ilya Dementiev got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 30th minute, Niceto Xacintu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Flying Dutch fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The corner led Daguestan's Varlam Tikhonov to fire away a dangerous shot which Arthur Amorim despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Niceto Xacintu was the one to do the kick off. Eduard Berezutskiy made an important save on a dangerous shot by Niceto Xacintu in the 52nd minute. After taking down the ball on Daguestan's corner Varlam Tikhonov fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Arthur Amorim quite easily take care of the ball. Yuriy Varennikov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Arthur Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 59 played minutes Flying Dutch got a freekick which was hit by Higinio Raymundo. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Flying Dutch's goalie and right to Yuriy Varennikov. Flying Dutch's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. If Niceto Xacintu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Niceto Xacintu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Higinio Raymundo in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eduard Berezutskiy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Daguestan's Miron Kiryanov got a free kick in the 79th minute. With his leg Eduard Berezutskiy managed to avoid a goal in the 81stth minute, when Flying Dutch's Niceto Xacintu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Niceto Xacintu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eurico Batista got free with Eduard Berezutskiy in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Petr Lisich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the match, Niceto Xacintu notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Daguestan's Eduard Berezutskiy. Eduard Berezutskiy was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Miron Kiryanov hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Flying Dutch had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
