In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Marrakech Rabat FC's goalkeeper Sayid Mahdoufi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 30 minutes into the match, Flavio Lizbeth had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sayid Mahdoufi. Marrakech Rabat FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Flavio Lizbeth was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Marrakech Rabat FC's Sayid Mahdoufi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Abastas in the 35th minute of play. 40 minutes into the game, Pista Uno F.C.'s Koldobika Sendeño nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sayid Mahdoufi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ashraf Oussalah got free with Rolando Areosa in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half Pista Uno F.C. were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcelo Abastas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Marrakech Rabat FC's goalkeeper Sayid Mahdoufi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Koldobika Sendeño. Marrakech Rabat FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Safi El Mrini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolando Areosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 75 minutes into the game, Marrakech Rabat FC's Rachad Remch nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot.
