A collision led to Capitan Beto getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Felix Cordearo hit a great ball. In the 9th minute, Malvin Vidaurre ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gaston Osorio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Agustin Jeraldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giro Rollan having to interfere. After some careless play in the Capitan Beto defense, Kismi Sierralta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gaston Osorio. The Capitan Beto fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gaston Osorio should have stopped the shot. When Kismi Sierralta came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Caaguazu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kismi Sierralta couldn't finish the play. In the 21st minute Conrado Faron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaston Osorio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Conrado Faron scored 0-3 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gaston Osorio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gaston Osorio came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Caaguazu's Conrado Faron. But to his dismay, Conrado Faron quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Gaston Osorio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kismi Sierralta in the 41st minute of play. Errolan Cillero charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Errolan Cillero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Errolan Cillero hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Conrado Faron was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, Capitan Beto's Gaston Osorio got control of the ball when Kismi Sierralta tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gaston Osorio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conrado Faron, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Malvin Vidaurre in the 60th minute of play forced Capitan Beto's goalkeeper Gaston Osorio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gaston Osorio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Malvin Vidaurre in the 65th minute of the match. Giro Rollan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orlando Theobald, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Kismi Sierralta might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gaston Osorio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kismi Sierralta ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 74th minute of the match, Conrado Faron tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gaston Osorio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Capitan Beto's Gaston Osorio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conrado Faron in the 76th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Capitan Beto's goal looked a bit too open when Kismi Sierralta came free, but Gaston Osorio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cleto Lorencio kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 90th match minute, Caaguazu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nando Cando to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kismi Sierralta got free with Gaston Osorio in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Caaguazu's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
