Próspero Friederichs showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fermin Millano, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 13 minutes into the game, AFC Richmond's Enrique Arostegui nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Matias Mon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Matias Mon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Tolhauzsen in the 17th minute of the match. Humberto Illart succeeded in the game's 26th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-1. After some careless play in the Arsenal defense, Fernando Tolhauzsen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matias Mon. The Arsenal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matias Mon should have stopped the shot. Humberto Illart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Próspero Friederichs tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute Humberto Illart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Próspero Friederichs saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernando Tolhauzsen got free with Matias Mon in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Matias Mon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remicio Price in the 41st minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Enrique Arostegui to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Arsenal's Alejandro Bemabe got a free kick in the 51st minute. Matias Mon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Tolhauzsen in the 54th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Humberto Illart hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. AFC Richmond made a substitution. Lucio Jose María Coromina replaced Sandro Cavareda. Matias Mon came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by AFC Richmond's Remicio Price. But to his dismay, Remicio Price quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. Enrique Arostegui scored 7-1 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Matias Mon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. AFC Richmond made a substitution. Aníbal Marraccini replaced Fernando Tolhauzsen. Fermin Millano kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Matias Mon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aníbal Marraccini in the 82nd minute of play. Arsenal's Matias Mon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Arostegui in the 84th minute of play. With his leg Próspero Friederichs managed to avoid a goal in the 86thth minute, when Arsenal's Humberto Illart fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Arsenal's Matias Mon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aníbal Marraccini in the 88th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remicio Price in the 89th minute of play forced Arsenal's goalkeeper Matias Mon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute Aníbal Marraccini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Mon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Arsenal's goal looked a bit too open when Aníbal Marraccini came free, but Matias Mon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aníbal Marraccini took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Matias Mon. Matias Mon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-1. When the referee ended the match the AFC Richmond players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
