Igor Cavalera scored 0-2 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kjell Sjöö, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Igor Cavalera blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kjell Sjöö having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Cavalera in the 12th minute of play forced Curiphila Eagles's goalkeeper Kjell Sjöö to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kjell Sjöö came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Ogro F.C.'s Igor Cavalera. But to his dismay, Igor Cavalera quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. A collision led to Ogro F.C. getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Adelino Antunes hit a great ball. Alysson Rezende made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erik Vihonský in the 20th minute. Curiphila Eagles were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Ogro F.C.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Khaidir Sopandi took the corner. When Dan Zimmermann fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ogro F.C.'s protests and gave Dan Zimmermann a yellow card for diving instead. Erik Vihonský could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Alysson Rezende made a huge save. Kjell Sjöö took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Igor Cavalera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Igor Cavalera's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kjell Sjöö read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Igor Cavalera ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kjell Sjöö was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. After some careless play in the Curiphila Eagles defense, Igor Cavalera kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kjell Sjöö. The Curiphila Eagles fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kjell Sjöö should have stopped the shot. Igor Cavalera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kjell Sjöö made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Cavalera in the 42nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Piearres Holgado got free with Alysson Rezende in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-6 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
