When Gilberto Arce came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Itajaí Football Club fans jumped to their feet. If Leonardo Varela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the game, Dacian Măcriș recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marcelo Galvão. Dacian Măcriș showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Délio Tasso kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcelinho de Salles in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tiago Gabriel Cabral saved Vae Victis!! from getting behind. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Vae Victis!!'s goalkeeper Tiago Gabriel Cabral, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcelinho de Salles in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tiago Gabriel Cabral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 37 minutes into the match, Vae Victis!!'s goal looked a bit too open when Conrado Miranda came free, but Tiago Gabriel Cabral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Vae Victis!!'s Dacian Măcriș in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
