In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Avantchê's goalkeeper Fausto do Valle, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Adriano Abraão who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Pedrinho de Queirós when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Avantchê's zone, Ferreirinha Vinhas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fausto do Valle came out of the goal and Ferreirinha Vinhas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 31 minutes into the match, Avantchê's goal looked a bit too open when Stian Selnes came free, but Fausto do Valle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Avantchê's Pedrinho de Queirós threw himself towards the right post 47 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Douglas Cardoso, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After the first half Alfa FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 51st minute, Douglas Cardoso made a precise shot to the right of Pedrinho de Queirós. Alfa FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Avantchê's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ole-Johan Larsen was slow to take the kick. During this time Alfa FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Alfa FC's Ole-Johan Larsen to fire away a dangerous shot which Fausto do Valle despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Ole-Johan Larsen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alfa FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ole-Johan Larsen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fausto do Valle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedrinho de Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusebio Rajoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriano Abraão in the 63rd minute of play forced Alfa FC's goalkeeper Pedrinho de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Avantchê were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after Alfa FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Douglas Cardoso took the corner. Stian Selnes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Fausto do Valle made a huge save. In the 73rd minute, Douglas Cardoso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedrinho de Queirós was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. A collision led to Alfa FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Lázaro Galtero hit a great ball. Pedrinho de Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Douglas Cardoso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ole-Johan Larsen had several of the Avantchê's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 83 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-2 score and a disappointed Fausto do Valle as he didn't even see the shot coming. After 89 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Alfa FC! Pedrinho de Queirós had in the 93rdth minute some difficulties stopping Douglas Cardoso's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Alfa FC's Pedrinho de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Douglas Cardoso in the 97th minute of play.
